What happens when you rate your cleaner? All About the Applause Rating System!

Some new customers have asked about how our Applause Ratings work, so here’s a quick and simple explanation for all of you!

After your cleaning is completed, you will receive and email or text asking you to rate your cleaning. Please know, you can opt out of this totally by simply responding to the text "STOP". But if you would like to use the App to rate your cleanings, here is what happens:


High Ratings (9 or 10):
When you give a rating of 9 or 10, did you know your rating on the cleaning tech is shared with our entire team! Everyone gets to celebrate and congratulate your cleaning tech on a job well done.


Lower Ratings (8 and below):
If a rating comes in at 8 or below, we privately follow up with the customer to find out how we can improve if a comment was not submitted with your rating. (Your comments really help!) We then meet with the cleaning tech to offer support and retraining if needed. These lower ratings are never shared with the whole team, but only the office and the cleaning tech can see it. We praise in public and correct in private!

Monetary Tips:
Monetary tip info is only seen by the office and your cleaner. (Only customers who rate their cleaning tech a 9 or a 10 are asked if they would like to leave a tip. The tip feature is not activated if the rating is an 8 or less.) Many people like to tip in cash, but if you use the Applause App, your tip goes directly into your cleaner’s bank account — we don’t touch it! Your cleaning tech receives it instantly and truely appreciates your generosity. While tips are never expected, the cleaning techs always are really grateful when they receive them!


5-Star Reviews:
When you leave a 5-star review, our whole team sees it. It truly boosts morale and motivates our cleaners! They even get a little gift! We celebrate their hard work, and they absolutely love the recognition of the ratings, the tips and the reviews!
